04Booking Policy
How this works.
The rules for every session, written once so nobody has to guess. If something here doesn't fit your situation, ask before you book.
01
Booking and payment
- Every session starts as a request. Submitting one doesn't charge you or hold a date.
- Sessions under $250 are paid in full once the request is approved. Larger bookings take a 50% retainer, with the rest due before the shoot.
- A date is not held until payment has been received and confirmed.
- Exact time and meeting spot are set after payment.
02
Rescheduling and cancellation
- With at least 24 hours' notice, you can reschedule once at no charge. The new date has to fall within 30 days.
- With at least 24 hours' notice, you can also cancel for a full refund.
- Same-day cancellations are not refunded. You can rebook once for a $30 fee, on a date within 30 days.
- A second cancellation needs a new booking.
03
Running late
- Plan to be ready to shoot at the start time. Arriving 5–10 minutes early helps.
- There is a 15-minute grace period. Text if you're running behind. Arrive within it and you still get your full session.
- Anything past 15 minutes comes out of your shooting time. Example: a 45-minute session booked for 6:00. Arrive at 6:15 and we shoot until 7:00. Arrive at 6:30 and we still end at 7:00.
- If being late would leave less than 15 minutes to shoot, it's treated as a same-day cancellation: no refund, and you can rebook once for a $30 fee within 30 days.
- If you haven't arrived or been in touch 15 minutes after the start time, it's a no-show. The payment is forfeited and a new booking is needed.
04
Extra time
- More time can be added on the day only if my schedule allows it. It isn't guaranteed, so book the length you need.
- Extra time is $75 per 30 minutes. It doesn't add edited images.
05
Weather
- If conditions would meaningfully hurt an outdoor session or make it unsafe, we reschedule at no charge. This doesn't count as your one reschedule.
- I make the call, usually a few hours before the session. Overcast and light rain are often still workable.
06
If I have to cancel
- If I'm sick or have an emergency, your payment moves to a new date with no fee. If we can't find one that works, you get a full refund.
07
Selection and delivery
- After the shoot I cut the obvious misses and send a proof gallery, with my picks marked.
- You choose your included images within 7 days. If I don't hear back, I choose for you.
- Final images are delivered digitally 5–7 business days after your selection.
- Extra edited images are $10 each, or 5 for $50.
- RAW files are not delivered.
08
Editing and revisions
- Standard editing is included: exposure, color, contrast, crop, and basic skin cleanup.
- Heavy retouching is quoted separately. That covers major object removal, body or clothing changes, background replacement, and composites.
- Two rounds of revisions are included. A round covers small adjustments to your delivered images, such as exposure, color, or crop. Swapping in different photos or re-editing in a new style is a new edit.
09
Reshoots
- If a technical failure on my side keeps me from delivering what we agreed, I reshoot at no charge.
- A change of mind about outfit, styling, location, or concept is a new booking.
10
Locations and travel
- A Lifestyle Session covers one location and one or two people. Groups of three or more are quoted.
- Travel within Manhattan and Queens is included. Outside those, travel usually adds $20–$50 depending on distance. I'll confirm the exact amount before you pay.
- Studio rental, admission, permits, and special-access fees are not included unless we agree otherwise before booking.
11
Using the photos
- Lifestyle sessions include personal use. I keep the copyright.
- Commercial use by a business or brand is licensed separately and quoted as a Custom Shoot.
- I may share selected images in my portfolio and on social media. If you'd rather I didn't, tick the box on the request form or tell me before the session.
